Nvidia graphcis cards have much better Linux support than ATI's but I don't think the driver support is so bad that it's crashing. Have you checked the logs to see if any errors are reported right before the hang?

Missing Islamic Prayers?

Reverting to Islam almost 10 years ago, I've found it difficult to practice my religion and have always slacked in making my salats. I was the only revert in my home, but I pursued Islam wholeheartedly. I loved Islam. Today I have to hide from my family that I still believe in Islam. My family believes Muslims= Terrorists. When I do pray, I quietly bring my children into my bedroom and make salat with them. This becomes burdensome to hide my beliefs from the rest of my family( mother, brothers, uncles and aunts). Still, when I miss one salat, then I miss two and pretty soon I'm not praying at all or going to the masjid. I start to live the life of an unbeliever. Still I have so much guilt for not living the life of a good Muslim. I've lost touch with my Muslim brothers. I fear their judgement and so I stay away from the masjid. Right now it is financially impossible for me to move out of my family's home and closer to a Muslim neighborhood. Moving to a Muslim neighborhood I think is my solution. Any suggestions or has anyone else been through this?

My internet is going slower than it should be?

I recently changed my internet from 1.5mbp/s to a 20mbp/s but in my area it will be shaped to 8mbp/s the only problem is its been a couple of weeks and my plan has definitly changed over but im only recieving 1.5mbp/s ive reset my belkin f5d8636-v4 and retyped my account details but it hasnt changed anything and ive turned off all firewalls and stopped all downloaded and done speed tests on speedtest.net but the internet still isnt going as fast as it should be. Ive called up my TPG internet company and theyre not sure what the problem is, if you could explain to me the problem and how i fix it would be much appreciated thanks

Google search toolbar in chrome?

An web app I have to use for work has suddenly stopped working in Firefox. I'm a fan of Google Chrome. In Firefox, I use the Google toolbar for searches. One great feature is that it leaves the last search in place so I can just modify it and search again. I use a long search argument so I don't want to have to retype it on the address bar each time. Any ideas?

Suffering without him. Help!?

I have been with my boyfriend for over 4 years. I am 30 and he is 34. It's a long story, but we lead different lives. I used to always go there every weekend and I got used to that routine and used to always being with him and love being with him. He lives with his mom for reasons he kind of can't help. But we always argued alot. He gets mad at almost everything under the sun. Tends to be controlling and things usually always are his way. He is a very good person at heart and we have soo many memories together. We have gotten into fights before and went 3 weeks at most without talking. Then when we see each other again, we are so in love and missed each other so badly. He always told me we are meant to be together and are alike in tons of ways. But because of his ways and because he doesnt even bother with my mom or my friend's, I always knew it would never work. So anyways, we got into another fight June 1st and we haven't spoken since then. It's almost been a month, the longest. And I think about him all day, in my sleep, at work, everywhere. I wonder what he is doing and where he goes. It bothers me really bad. I know it's killing him really bad being without me too. It's always a game of waiting to see who will contact who first. But I know, if we get back together, it will be great for about 2 weeks and then everything will revert back to the way it was. But the 4th of July is coming up and we always spent it together every year. I really want to be strong and not contact him, but when the 4th gets here, I know it will bother the hell out of me. Deep down I know he is my soulmate, but deep down I also know he wouldn't be good for me in the long run with the way he is. His birthday is coming up too. The middle of July. I will definately send him a Happy Birthday text and then we can take it from there and see what happens. But do you think I should contact him for 4th of July? Or let it go and just wait until his birthday when I actually have a reason to contact him? Time is getting closer and I don't know what to do!! Does hair revert back after having a relaxer?

My hair is slightly nappy, very thick and curly. (I'm multi-racial so it is 70% Black texture, 30% White. And its not as ethincally nappy as real Black hair, but its nappy enough that if you try to run a comb through it when its dry, the comb will break....Believe me it has happened.) I put in a relaxer (It was a relaxer for White hair, as my parents were afraid my hair isn't coarse enough for a real one.) It didn't straighten it, just made it less curly. Three months later, a touch up was applied to the roots. So it's been about 7 months now and my hair is in that state still. My new growth is not as curly, just nappy. My mother ranted on about how we permanently changed my hair, and it will come back even nappier than before. Please, shine some light on this situation! Is that true? Does hair revert back to it's natural state after some time? Or do we have to wait for the new growth to come in? Is there any way to 'undo' or fix a relaxer, or something like that? All answers are appreciated :) Please and thank you.

The way I handle it is to smile and say "Thank you for the advice, sister" etc. Really, if you're very polite and lead by example, since you're a revert and behaving better it may give them the help to behave better. They will see you, who doesn't know better on as many things still behaving better. They'll be ashamed and change their behaviour. Being gentle and doing right when you can is the best way. Please Help with Lsass.exe application error! Nothing works!?

Hello, I tried to boot up my laptop today and got this "lsass.exe application error - The application failed to initialize properly (0Xc0000005). Click OK to terminate the application." I am pretty sure it is the Lsass.exe error and not the isass.exe error, but I am not 100%, the lowercase L and capital i seem the same to me. Anyway, I tried booting in Safe Mode, in Safe Mode with Command Prompt, and tried opening Task Manager like every other answer on this site and Google said to. However, I cannot even get to Task Manager! All my laptop does it pop up the error and revert back to the old original windows background from when I bought the computer (not even my current desktop image), The screen is like this for hours! Ctrl+ALT+DEL does not work, CTRL+Shfit+Esc does not work. I do not know how to run a registry cleaner or antivirus from my USB drive or SD Card without the start program! I do not even know how to run them from Task Manager. I cannot even GET to Task Manager! I tried putting a registry cleaner into my USB drive, but how do I load my USB drive from nothing? How do I even load it from Task Manager? (assuming I can even get Task Manager to ever work again). I cannot load the Windowx CD because it is a LAPTOP and has NO CD PORT! Please help! Bleaching your hair doesn't actually mean you are just going to put straight bleach on it...it's gets mixed with peroxide, and the bleach is like this powder stuff, duh!!!

There has been a lot of evidence that elemental chlorine is detrimental to health. Suppliers are avoiding the term % chlorine in products that do not contain elemental chlorine. It is technically more correct to state that the bleach contains sodium hypochlorite. I have checked the bottle of bleach in the laundry and it states "Active ingredient 3.5% sodium hypochlorite". This is more correct than quoting the the ingredient as chlorine. I do not know what your label says: but does it say only: "Active ingredient: X% sodium" only? That would be strange.

HELP! Stop hair from falling out!? Dyed and bleached.?

Eggs can help a bit, but it won't fix it completely. And when you wash it out use COLD WATER seriously, or you'll end up with a head full of scrambled eggs. Anything high in B vitamins will do it some good - bananas, even beer. When this happened to me I slicked it up with olive oil and wrapped it up in cling wrap before I went to bed - worked pretty well, but you need professional help with this one. Don't brush it, and I'd use as little shampoo as possible.

I'm a girl, I'm using a fake Yahoo.. I've had body hair since I was a little kid, so its nothing with puberty. Growing up with this hair and being overweight has gotten me beaten up and tormented. In 3rd or 4th grade I started using Nair for my arms and even though it ate my skin and left me with questionable cuts and scratches, I forced myself to use it for about 4 years now. My roots were bleach blonde and the rest was like orangish. It's faded now and it all looks about the same color now. My roots are turning a dark brown color. In 2 days it'll be 3 weeks since I dyed it at all. I want to dye it back to dark brown today/tomorrow. But I have heard it'll turn my hair a greenish color. I'm worried. Should I wait? Or what? Browser connection problem?

My laptop recently started giving me trouble with my browser, my internet connection is fine but when I open my browser it displays cannnot display this webpage so in order to connect I have to close the browser, go to internet options, connections, LAN, then unclick the proxy setting box and click the detect automatic settings, then reopen my browser and it works as long as i dont open a new browser later or close out the one(s) I have open, then it reverts back to those settings..I know it has to do with the proxy server but I have no clue how to fix it or even where to begin. A few days ago my iPod started quitting out of permanent apps that you can't delete off your iPod touch, such as Safari, Youtube, etc. I press on the app, it goes to it for a second, freezes, then reverts back to the home screen. If I doubletap the home button I can play music, but picking songs by pressing the app only works some of the time. Safari does not work at all. Ok, general rule of thumb here, never, ever, EVER overclock a laptop. Laptops lack adequate cooling to achieve stable overclocking. At least you're using EVGA precision and not messing with the voltages, you really can't screw things up very badly with that program. 55C is really high for just browsing the web, if I were you, I would turn it back down and deal with it. If you really must overclock, make sure you have one of those laptop cooling pad thingys and always have it sitting on that, then clock it down when you take it somewhere. I personally think, and much of the computer world agrees, that its really a bad idea to overclock anything on a laptop. Also, what do you mean by "wouldn't be the end of the world" if you killed your GPU? You can't replace the video card in nearly every laptop ever made, so if you kill it, your laptop is bricked.

For the best quality and to get a file that can be scaled up without loss of quality, recreate the text in Illustrator, not Photoshop. Once you have done this you can save the logo in eps format from Illustrator. If matching the sizing/spacing is critical, place the bitmap image in Illustrator and recreate the text over the top so you can get it as close to identical as possible. Delete the placed image before the final save.

Microsoft word problem - how to rectify text squashing into one side of the page?

I am trying to write a document which has a table of two columns which present phrases in two different languages, english on the left and the other language on the right. In some tables the text squashes towards the right, in some places there isn't even enough space for one word before it squashes down the page. i can't seem to figure out how to rectify this without retyping the whole document.

Can I add extra developer to my bleach powder to help increase the amount I can use for my hair?

so i have windows vista right now and it stopped being able to update. that's when i found out it cant authenticate my license. i have a valid license but i let someone borrow the disk with the code on it and never got it back so i cant retype it or reinstall it. so the real question is can i buy the windows 7 upgrade if it considers the license not to be valid or will i have to buy the full windows 7 system? i can provide more info if needed

Why does my daughter cry when dropping off at Montessori?

She has been attending daycare/Montessori since she was 12 months old and stopped crying at drop-off after the first month or so. In fact, she was very happy and excited at drop-off for the past few months. She is now 16 months old and has started crying at drop-off again. There has been no change in the teachers at the Montessori. She attends 3 days/week and is happy while she is there. You know the look - bleached hair, fake tan, and layers and layers of makeup as if that person has just dipped their face in. Personally (and this is just my opinion), I think it looks disgusting. Why won't Adobe Reader 9.0 open when I double click it's icon?

I just double click it just like I do with other applications then the cursor turns to a loading cursor then reverts back to normal as if the computer forgot that I wanted it to open Adobe Reader. This happens to PDF's too.

Belkin router orange light? Help !?

My modem is working perfectly fine, it picks up the wireless network at an "excellent". Anyway my router seems to stay green for about 5 mins then reverts back to orange. Sufering without my boyfriend. Help!?

I have been with my boyfriend for over 4 years. I am 30 and he is 34. It's a long story, but we lead different lives. I used to always go there every weekend and I got used to that routine and used to always being with him and love being with him. He lives with his mom for reasons he kind of can't help. But we always argued alot. He gets mad at almost everything under the sun. Tends to be controlling and things usually always are his way. He is a very good person at heart and we have soo many memories together. We have gotten into fights before and went 3 weeks at most without talking. Then when we see each other again, we are so in love and missed each other so badly. He always told me we are meant to be together and are alike in tons of ways. But because of his ways and because he doesnt even bother with my mom or my friend's, I always knew it would never work. So anyways, we got into another fight June 1st and we haven't spoken since then. It's almost been a month, the longest. And I think about him all day, in my sleep, at work, everywhere. I wonder what he is doing and where he goes. It bothers me really bad. I know it's killing him really bad being without me too. It's always a game of waiting to see who will contact who first. But I know, if we get back together, it will be great for about 2 weeks and then everything will revert back to the way it was. But the 4th of July is coming up and we always spent it together every year. I really want to be strong and not contact him, but when the 4th gets here, I know it will bother the hell out of me.
