Is saving texts to a word document desperate/clingy behavior?

I'm running out of memory in my phone for my bf's cute messages :P and I really want to keep them so I'm thinking about typing them all out (ugh I know) into a word document. I also kinda feel like doing so will white wash the messages for me because the actual texts he sent HE TYPED to me, and if I'm just retyping them over it feels a little like I'm making it up haha. Is this desperate/dumb to do? Has anyone else ever done this/ thought about it?
