Help me!!! Microsoft Word?

I think I may have accidentally saved over my essay that I did in Microsoft word and closed it, is there anyway I can get it back? Please, it is due today in school and I don't have time to retype it. Or I may have accidentally saved it in a different location but I can't find it. Is there anyway I could locate recently saved files?
