Why is my product key not working for Powerpoint 2007?

I got a new laptop and it came with powerpoint installed.I looked on the back of the laptop for the product key and entered it(yes it was 25 digits with a - in between every 5)It keeps saying the key is wrong and I have retyped it 7 times and still it says its wrong.
