Mobile equipment status failed on BB Curve ?

I got the newest BB curve from metropcs, i can do everythinq but sometime wen i text, theres a x nd it says "mobile equipment status failed" nd the text is not sent. so i have to retype it once or maybe twice untill it gets sent. It doesnt happen all the time, but it happens alot and its annoyinq, any suggestions? HELP??
